If you live in Austin, you should come to the Brixton Friday night for a watch party of the two latest TXRD bouts. Holy Rollers vs. las Putas del Fuego at 9pm followed by All Scar Army vs. Rhinestone Cowgirls at 10.

IT’LL BE REALLY FUN! THIS SHOW IS LIKE MY CHILD! Come hang with the producer (me), director (me), and editor (me) and hopefully some awesome rollergirls and the hosts La Muerta and Mighty Aphrodite.

Look at this promo I made for the new TXRD season!

First bout is on Sunday and if you live in Austin you’ll be able to watch the whole season on TV (finally!) if you have Grande Communications starting February 17th!

(In case you didn’t know) The station I work for airs all the TXRD roller derby bouts and I’m the assistant director and editor for it all.

This clip is one of the best moments from all of the games, and my favorite part is that it’s mostly one shot.

The Putas del Fuego needed to score 28 points to be able to go to the playoffs, and Lynnie Bruise made a full jam (with Grey Ghost blocking her real hard right at the end) bringing them to that goal so the Putas were fucking STOKED! (One of our announcers, La Muerta, is the original Puta - a founder of TXRD. She’s the one screaming.) Apparently Hispanic Panic of the Holy Rollers wasn’t too happy about that so she tackled one of the refs, El Squido and was immediately ejected.

I watched this about ten times today and laughed every time.
